Key 103 (Manchester) – Top Of Hour/News Intro – 1995 – JAM
TOH cut from JAM’s Quick Q’s. This mix-out was never heard on air. A shorter version, without the end ‘Manchester’ sing was instead used. Combined with a Brian James voice-over it sounded great, and remained in use until 1997. The Voice-over would occasionally change from this generic version to promote events such as Euro ’96 (“Live from Soccer City ’96″) and the commonwealth games bid-win (“Live from the host city of the 2002 Commonwealth Games”).

Century 105 (North West England)- Have A Happy Christmas – 1998 – JAM
One of my favourite Christmas jingles, from Century’s 1998 custom package, also sung for Century stations in the North East, and East Midlands. By the time it received a demo by JAM on “The Best Mix In Denver” it had changed lyrics to “Happy Holidays” for the US market.

KS95 KSTP-FM (Minneapolis-St. Paul)- Top of Hour cut – 1997 – JAM
Two different versions of the same top of hour cut from KSTP-FM’s 1997 custom package from JAM, “Evolver”. One the official legal call sign, the other with the KS95 branding. Notice how the order of the Twin Cities changes.

Red Rose Rock FM (Preston/Blackpool) – “Rockin’ The North West” – 1995 – Alfasound/JAM
An Alfasound rework of the top-of-hour cut from JAM’s Breakthrough, with Dallas vocals.
This is what JAM’s Jon Wolfert said about the cut on Jinglemad.
“I had forgotten about the Red Rose Rock FM “re-do” version of Breakthrough cut #1 so I looked it up. The station ordered a composite of Breakthrough and KIIS/90 in April 1990. In March 1995 they wanted to update three of those cuts (1 from Breakthrough, 2 from KIIS/90). So Alfasound made the track modifications, using bits and pieces from the original versions, which is why they sound so similar. Then we sang them in Dallas, using the same vocal arrangements as the first time around. An unusual (and a bit strange) co-production.”

Kiss 105 (Yorkshire) – 1997 – ALFA
One of the last packages to come out of Alfasound, and one of their best. This is from the “Music Is Life” package, produced and sung for both Kiss 102 in Manchester and 105 in Yorkshire. Follow up to the “Danceman” package.

A single cut from the fantastic package for The Revolution from Seattle based Reelworld. Re-sings of their Windy 100 package, sung originally for WNND Chicago. The Revolution was one of the first stations in the UK to use Reelworld, and the only ones to use the Windy 100 pack.

The Pulse (West Yorkshire) – 1994 – JAM
Part of JAM’s 1994 custom package for West Yorkshire’s “The Pulse”. This little known package is a funny one in that it’s never been officially syndicated by JAM. Perhaps the strong beating “pulse” theme that runs through all the cuts made the prospect of selling re-sings to others too difficult?

Jammin’ 105 (New York) – Artist name sonvovox – 1999 – PAMS/JAM

Southern FM (Sussex) – “Night Time Heart & Soul” – 1992 – JAM
Southern FM’s 1992 package from JAM was composed entirely of re-sings from various country packages. For a non-country station they sound pretty good! The same cuts were also sung for Ocean FM in Hampshire as both stations shared some programmes at the time.
